Book Review: Old MacDonald Had a Dragon

By | October 7, 2016

The book, Old MacDonald Had a Dragon by Ken Baker and illustrated by Christopher Santoro, is a very funny story. The story is told in a fairy tale style where the antagonist swallows people and animals whole. Certain phrases are repeated as the story progresses, creating a rhythm in the story.

I have read this book to a six-year-old child, who has asked me to read this book repeatedly since I had borrowed it from the library. She enjoyed it very much. If you have a child, who loves the “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” song, then you should check this book out at your local library.

The book is beautifully illustrated. You can look at the cover art or some of the illustrations by clicking on the links below. You will find a video trailer of the book by clicking on the Ken Baker and YouTube hyperlinks. At the Amazon.com webpage for this book, you can look inside of the book.
